Dr. Friedrich is an amazing field geologist who has worked and led field trips all over the world, and is particularly responsible for the training of students in field geology, tectonics, and sedimentary basins. She recently received the 2019 Distinguished Alumni Award from the Department of Geology and Geophysics.
