Brian Blaylock


 

Brian K Blaylock (B.S. 2014, M.S. 2016, Ph.D. 2019) is a native of Spanish Fork, Utah, where he developed a love for the weather playing in the snow, golfing in the canyon wind, and reporting rainfall to CoCoRaHS. After graduating with degrees in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Utah, Brian was awarded a National Academies of Science Engineering and Medicine research fellowship. He and his wife currently reside in Monterey, California where Brian works at the Naval Research Laboratory Marine Meteorology Division. His research on data assimilation helps improve the Navy's numerical weather prediction capabilities.
